Did you know, with this small application, you can easily create a bootable USB flash disk that contains multiple Linux distributions as well. Yumi (Multiboot Your Universal Installer) is a free application that helps you to create a bootable USB flash disk and contains several choices of Linux distributions. At boot time, you will be faced with a choice of Linux which you'll use. Interesting is not it? So for example, we can install Ubuntu 11:10, Fedora 16, OpenSUSE 12.1 as well as in a Flash disk.




But unfortunately, Yumi 0.0.4.1 does not support persistent mode. All settings, documents and files are erased when you reboot Linux. How to use this application very easy.
  • Run Yumi
  • Select your USB drive from the list (make sure your flash drive already installed in your computer's USB port)
  • Choose your Linux Distribution from the available list.
  • Browse or search for your ISO files in accordance with the linux distro you choose.
  • You can also download a linux ISO directly from this application if you have adequate internet connection
  • Press Create to start. Perform these steps to install the Linux distro next to your flash drive.
Boot up your computer by selecting USB disk as the first boot device. Perform these settings in your BIOS.
